How Can We Help?
Public Resource Directory
The Public Resource Directory is a directory of organizations, projects, and other resources in your community that assist people experiencing homelessness connect to services and housing. The Public Resource Directory found in the Client Portal displays all of the Projects and Providers that have their visibility settings on, meaning that the people charged with ending homelessness in your community have made those visible. If your community does not have Show The Way, you will see the following screen:
After tapping on the Resource Directory button, the search filters will pop up. In the search field, you can search by project name, tags, project types, organization name, service type, or service category. Tap the “Show X Results” button at the bottom to see the map view of projects near you.
In the image below, I’ve selected “Emergency Shelter”, and displayed the results. After tapping on one of the shelter icons on the map, I can see the name of the project, the organization, their contact information, and a short description if one has been provided. Note the address, phone number, and website are hyperlinked. If I tap on the address, my phone’s map app will open and direct me to the project. Similarly, if I tap on the phone number, my phone will call the project. Projects in the Public Resource Directory can be viewed either on the map or in a list view.
If you need to submit a request for help, the Citizen Request feature provides a method for submitting a request directly to the organizations working to provide services to your community.
